This program is designed to equip Directors with a base to design and implement a concrete program that will result in a learning culture and consistent program enhancement. Participants who successfully complete the program will acquire 30 New York State OCFS School Age Child Care (SACC) credit hours.
Delivered in four 3-hour in-person session, the training sessions offer directors a chance to explore new tools, concepts, and strategies. In between sessions, participants execute the methods and strategies learned.
Established by Dignity of Children, this Analysis tool assists in evaluating your staff member's knowledge of child care concepts and their ability to apply the knowledge in the classroom. The Director's Lab will also help you develop mini-trainings targeted to resolve these knowledge gaps.
As a bonus, every participant will be entitled to two 30-minute coaching sessions.
30 hours of NYS OCFS SACC Credit hours will be awarded upon successful completion of the program. Training meets OCFS SACC 414.14 regulations in all 9 topic areas.
Here we use the Staff Performance Assessment Tool to:
"I think all the information that was provided during the Director's lab was new and very informative. It made me rethink of what my goals and expectations are and how I can implement a more efficient structure in programming.".
