Our After School Facilitator, Olando Lunnon, a graduate of City College, has served in the school age field for over 25 years. He is the founder of Lunnon Play School’s school-age program and Lunnon Play School’s summer camp program where his mission is to inspire, motivate, and build self-esteem in youth. Olando was part of the first group of candidates to receive a New York State (NYS) school-age credential (SAC) and still holds it in good standing. Now he serves as a New York State SAC Advisor for the NYS Network for Youth Success (formerly Afterschool Works!). Through Dignity of Children’s apprentice program, Olando was able to broaden the reach of his mission by aiding school-age professionals in sharpening their skills to impact youth. In his ever continuance of professional development, he is also a trainer with Dignity of Children. There he tries to cultivate all staff to inspire, motivate and build self-esteem in youth so that their students thrive and are fully-expressive in life.
